I started my State Farm agency career in San Luis Obispo in 2014. I moved my office to Templeton the following year. Here is the story of how I became a State Farm Agent.

At 19 years old I joined the Arm as a Public Affairs Broadcaster. My Army journalism experience taught me how to quickly build connections with people, and uncover the amazing stories they had to share. I spent two years at Yokota Air Base, Japan, followed by three years working at the Army's flagship newscast, Soldiers Radio and Television in the Military District of Washington, D.C.

While we were both serving in the military, I met my husband, Ryan. He was just about to get out of the Marine Corps, and convinced me to try out life in "The Sunshine State" when I was finished my enlistment. It was in Florida that I got my start with State Farm. My mother-in-law was an office manager at a State Farm agency, and asked me to come in for an interview. I knew from that first time I stepped foot into an agent's office that State Farm agency was the career for me. I focused my energy on preparing myself for the role. A added a business minor to my college courses, got all of the licensing I needed, then studied under two excellent agents during the five years I spent as a team member.

On January 1, 2014, I realized the dream I had created for myself six years earlier, by opening the doors to my very own State Farm agency.

As a local State Farm insurance agent, everything we do is focused on the customer. Whatever someone’s financial situation, it is my goal to provide informed, compassionate service that gets to what matters most so we can:

• Help San Luis Obispo County families set clear goals for the future

• Protect farms and ranches in California with Farm insurance and Ranch insurance

• Personalize car insurance, home insurance, renters insurance, and liability plans to fit the needs of each individual customer

• Help determine accurate life insurance needs unique to each customer
